Reserve a Room

Dwight Foster Public Library’s mission is to help people reach their full potential by being a leading resource for information, education, culture, and recreation.  The library welcomes the use of its meeting rooms by groups or individuals to conduct organizational or program meetings, seminars, study groups, planning sessions, training programs, and related activities.

General Information about Reserving Rooms

  • Meeting room spaces may be reserved up to three months in advance.
  • The person responsible for the room reservation should check in at the second floor service desk at the time of their reservation so a staff member can unlock the room. Later, the person responsible for the room reservation should inform a staff person when they are finished using the room.
  • The meeting rooms may be used free of charge if no staff time is needed for set-up, clean-up, security, etc.
  • Private parties are not permitted in Dwight Foster Public Library’s meeting rooms. Selling or sales promotions are prohibited, and groups generally may not charge admission to events held in the library’s rooms.
  • The Wisconsin, Rotary, Gates, Boyer, and Niedecker Rooms are available only during the hours the library is open.  Meetings held in the FCCU Community Room must begin during the library’s open hours; however, they can continue past library closing.
  • Library staff shall have the right to cancel, reschedule, or transfer meeting room locations or dates that conflict with library-sponsored programs and/or special events.
